22807 Print Edition
Creative Direction, InDesign
As the Creative Director for the James Madison University's student-run magazine, 22807, I helped to produce a print edition of our stories. I contributed designs for spreads, managed deadlines, exercised final approval on all pages, and worked with the copy editors to create a printer-ready version.

Original Magazine Spreads
InDesign
This project was done for SMAD 201 (Fundamentals of Media Arts and Design). We were instructed to create a fictional magazine, and could only use our own artwork or creative commons material for the project. All of the photography is my own, and the sidebar content comes from stock photography. The theme of the magazine was carried through the cover, table of contents, and a two-page spread.
Covers for an Existing Magazine
Photoshop
This magazine project was done for GRPH 200 (Computer Graphics). We were instructed to create a cover for an existing magazine, keeping the brand in mind. We also had to include our own face on the cover, and turn it into a graphic using Photoshop. As part of the project, I did research on design trends for each magazine, created mood boards, drew sketches, created my own graphics, and culminated everything into a process book at the end.
